IKEA is officially back in the Quebec City area. More than 4,000 people stormed the parking lot of the new branch of the Swedish giant IKEA early this morning. A few dozen customers even lined up all night in the rain.

By 3 a.m., the parking lot was nearly full and people were in a line that wrapped around the building. Along with the umbrellas, Ikea employees handed out bottles of water and chocolate bars.

The first 300 customers to enter the store as soon as doors open at 9 am were eligible for a $ 50 gift card.
